It was a really fun and educational experience at the cup noodle museum that i experience. inspirational how the founder has a never give up spirit and continuously discover and improve his noodles in different ways. even at the age of 80plus, he was still reinventing his noodles where he invented noodles to be eaten in space! cool right! culturally, i really love this country, what’s there not to fall in love with japan?? OH MANS, i wish that this trip would never end. please go by slowy?

Day 3: Ueno zoo and Tokyo sky tree

My cute dear friend asked me the funniest question: “what does Japanese eat for breakfast??”

This definitely didn’t come to my mind usually. Hahahas I guess we had to settle our brekkie somehow. Don’t think we would be comfortable having rice or sushi for breakfast like the typical Koreans or Japanese so we ended up settling for subway 🙂

The whole setting and atmosphere of the subway place which we went near our hotel feels so dreamy and nice! And they have a different breakfast menu compared to in SG. Much lighter flavor and definitely healthier, no wonder the people in japan all looks so slim!!

Headed to the ueno zoo to start the dayyy.i always would visit either the zoo or aquarium of the particular countries that I travelled. Not sure why, but i always like animals. Interesting how animal behavior differs in the different zoo and also how the set up of different zoos are likeeee. Love how I could still see the autumn leaves in japan though we are slowly entering winter alreadyyy. Photos are so pretty taken over there :))

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/da7/13232275/files/2015/01/img_2397.jpgone of my favorite individual shots! i really love how the autumn leaves are like 🙂 the zoo in Japan is pretty much similar to all other countries i guess, just that the children zoo is pretty much more interactive for children to really feel and interact with the animals directly! look at a happy me with a billy goat below!

  • day 2: tsukiji market and ginza

excited looking forward to our tuna auction, but cause it’s not worth it to cab from our hotel to the market for over $50 bucks to reach at 330am, it makes more sense for us to catch the last train and keep ourselves awake for 3 hours before gg to the auction. thank gawd for the 24 hours jonathan restaurant which was able to keep us warm for a few hours. we had like movies prepared so that we will be entertained during the waiting time.

    IMG_2087.JPG

IMG_2094.JPGand you know how things dont always happen the way you have planned it out to be? just before i had myself all comfy and ready to start watching the movie, i googled and found out a bad news!!! the tuna auction is closed from 1st december 2014 to 17th january 2015. WHATTTTTT???!!! i totally didnt believed it. both me and cass tot it was a joke and we googled many sites to double confirm it, and sadly it was true. AHHHH imagine the gush of disappointment at the point of time when we both confirmed the news.

Screen Shot 2014-12-16 at 2.09.01 PM

the best part of it, he wholesale market only opens at 9am where that’s where we wanna try out the foodie and stuffs, so which means instead of staying awake for 3hrs, we need to spend another additional 5 more hours? we were in such a dilemma, fighting the disappointment and also the fatigue and exhaustion that both of us were starting to feel, but we both knew that if we went back to sleep now, we are definitely not able to get out of our hotel to come back here for the food already. so okayyy, we stayed at the restaurant and thank gawd, the movie which we watched fully entertained us for 3 full hours making it more bearable.

it was worthwhile keeping ourselves awake. the food was really good at the market and a very very good experience though. we were practically eating our entire way throughout the market and enjoying ourselves even though we are freezing.

  • Up in the clouds and we have arrived

Love the flight to japan.at least it’s a comfortable journey with entertainment :)) hahahas though I fell asleep watching toothless. Been sometime since I took SQ, I don’t have much expectations to begin with but since there isn’t any disappointments too, hahahas I would say it’s pretty good.

    i love ice-creams on holidays 🙂

off on the narita airport express train to our hotel in Shinjuku. Did i mention how awesome and efficient the transport system this country has? though the railways are a tweeny little bit of confusing, however it’s just crazy awesome how the bullet trains and the other trains are so accessible to bring you around to most places in japan. totally love the culture here too as the people here are so respectful and polite to one another, even the elderly here are so amicable and nice 🙂 nice to be on a holiday to embrace such a culture which is really something that i thought would be god if Singaporeans would be able to start on.

    IMG_2077.JPG

our first dinner in japan. picked a random ramen  restaurant cause we were both freezing like crazy and the food and soup base was awesomely tastely! 🙂

IMG_2081.JPGfreshen up a little after our warm dinner in the hotel and off we went to look for the 24hr rrestaurantnear tsukiji fish market excited for our next upcoming activity. *beams*
