Husband first cooking attempt! 🙂
It was exciting and yet scary going for the 2nd interview. I had no idea what it will be and also what the questions were. It’s more of like a career change for me as it is not what I am used to be doing previously. Honestly, I have been really grateful and appreciative of the entire journey that I have got to experience till now. The people I met with, and their suggestions, advice and feedback.
Just felt a little regretful that maybe I should have prepared a little more for my technical knowledge. Nonetheless, I think I have done well for the situation I am in. Considering that I have only been working for 3 months on the project and its only 2 times a week. I am already proud of what I have learnt, gained and achieved! Let’s see how things go when they have discussed and come to a decision. It would definitely be a great opportunity for me if I could actually get the job!
On the side note, Husband made his first pasta! He cooked for the first time and I am so so so so so PROUD of him. And it does taste pretty good. I mean like not delish but nice edible good for someone who has never been inside the kitchen to cook before.

Husband chopping his life away!
YUMS! Parsely makes a good pasta combi Coming here made me realized that my love language could have changed a little. Act of service seems to have upgraded itself! This indeed has been a very reflective and healing stage of my life where I am learning a lot of myself and definitely learning how to grow our marriage independently without any interferences. Definitely a day to remember! 🙂

DYREHAVEN
I am suprt grateful that the summer is still ongoing despite hitting fall soon! Made it a point to leave the house and bask in the sun and nature this weekend. Finally, we come to visit dyrehaven – a deer park 🙂 Its just a 10-15mins walk from klampenborg station and I am really surprised that it is not just a few deers that you get to see but like a whole herd of them grazing and enjoying their day.
Never had I ever been this close to nature or imagine that humans and nature could exists in such harmony.

Hello deer! U remind me of train to busan 😅
Enjoying the herd grazing view!
Lets explore the world together till the end of time!

4 Days Travel Blog: Pisa, Florence, Tuscany/Chianti, Cinque Terra
Our first holiday in 2023 summer! Off we go to Italy: Pisa >>> Florence >>> Tuscany >>> Cinque Terra
Wasn’t too sure what to expect since it’s our first time driving in Europe and also with a friend and their family. a little shook when we arrived at the airport as I had forgotten how crazy most European airports are during summer. The amount of crowd is probably like 3 times more than the normal times, but Copenhagen airport is very efficient and that we are flying within Schengen area so no worries!
Arrived at Pisa airport and immediately we felt the warmth! South of Europe is usually wayyyy warmer in summer compared to the scandi countries. Some hiccups with the car rental, another learning lesson and off we go on the road! Every travel or vacation is like a learning journey, something or somehow there will be a hiccup and then we will have to accept and deal with it and move on. Maybe that is also the reason why i love to travel… Its always an opportunity to learn more about myself especially when I am traveling with different groups of people and also in different countries.
Driving in Italy has it perks! On the highways, the scenery is always so pretty! But of course its stressful driving in the cities… I never had to navigate my husband through so many roundabout and i have learnt to count the number of exits to direct him in a clear mannner when he drives.

First pizzeria for our dinner!

The best pizza in italy that i ever had! Heading back to our airbnb
Loving our garden view of our accomodation! 😍 Day 2: Florence
It was such a joy having a little Harry on the trip! I am amazed how friendly and well-behaved this little boy is bringing us so much joy and laughter on the trip. He literally walked all the distance with us on this entire trip. Today was just visiting a nearby castle, and exploring Florence.

Meet Harry! 😂

Super sick view at the castle!
Group Photo! Got advice from a colleague who is Italian that its a bad idea to drive and park in the city, so we parked at a tram station somewhere a short distance from Florence and took a tram in. I love these little travel tips, as much as driving a car is so much more convenient, parking is always the big headache!
Tram was cheap too! For a round trip, just 3EUR! Definitely worth it instead of worrying about parking spaces!

Pretty streets of Florence
Is it me or the cathedrals look crazy pretty? 😱

Headed back to our home earlier after our groceries and took a dip in the pool ☺️ glad we got a nice and affordable air bnb. Driving to the accomodation is quite a challenge so everyday we are just beating sunlight to make sure we dont have to drive in the dark. On the bright side, since its summer, sun sets only at 9pm. So lucky us, we have alot of daylight ☺️

Hello sunset! ❤️🇮🇹 Dinner were made by the boys! We had really delicious pasta for the night! The trip is going really well! With the exception of the nasty mosquitoes that feed on us relentlessly. 😖

Thanks for dinner guys! DAY 3: winery and the mall!
We kinda split up for the day due to the difference in our preference of activities. Me and adam decided to visit the wineries ☺️ while the rest head off for shopping at the outlet mall!
It was crazy beautiful to look at the journey when we are driving from places to places in Italy. Headed off to the popular vineyard which has many chianti classic wines and is one of the most beautiful wineries. You have to booked the wine tours in advance for this place and even for lunch as it is a very very popular area. We went there to visit to take some photos and buy some wines!
They provide shipping within too, just that you have to be in person to make the order for the shipping! the architecture and the place was really very beautiful. Unlucky us, we didn’t have a space for lunch walk in at the restaurant so we had to find another area. One thing we forgot was that lunch time in Italy is always till 230pm or max 3 pm and there after the kitchen close for dinner. So we headed off to the mall firenze for lunch instead. Since the likelihood of getting food there is higher and its near to our wine tasting place in the evening.
wine tasting was at il palagio which is a vineyard opened by Sting and his wife Trudie. We had a really good wine tasting session where we had a glass of white (surprisingly very good), a rose (my husband loves it) and a red (which is good but would be better if its aged for a few more years). We were so full from wine tasting as there were cheese and ham platters. But we still need dinner here before we head back. It was a very cosy alfresco dinning concept and i love it. The music, the atmosphere and also the food! It was a very fruitful trip here for the past 3 days since we kinda wing our way through with the minimal planning we had. I was actually a little stressed about cinque terra tomorrow as its the furthest, and the place where i have the least information on traveling to. But lets just wing it! sometimes there are things to learn when you do things differently from what you usually do. Stepping out of your comfort zone.
Day 4: cinque terra
we knew that it would be crowded to drive up to cinque terra and that parking in crazy, so we decided to drive to the nearest city in La Spezia to park and take a train up. But what we didnt know was that everyone does that and so even in that little city, parking was such a pain. the parking space nearest the central station was so packed that we had to circle around a few times to finally get a parking a distance away but at a yacht area. Thankfully we managed to have lunch also before every restaurant decide to close for lunch for their break. It was a nice quick and affordable cafe called YOLO at Porto Mirabello.
After lunch, its back to figuring our way out to the train station. After a few trail and errors we managed to get bus tickets, head to the train station and then took a train to cinque terra. To my surprise, cinque terra is so popular and crowded. I haven seen so much crowds before! I guess Europeans really love the beaches and summer 😀

Weekend Trip: Møns klint
Summer this year has been really wonderful here in Denmark. I dont remember we had that many sunny days consecutively that i think some areas in the country is experiencing drought. Global warming is REAL. But lucky me, i get to have more days at the beach!
Planned for this trip for a month and was really grateful that a friend of ours, a local suggested to bring us to Møns Klint. The only information i had was that it was a UNESCO site.
Brief summary from wikipedia: Møns Klint is a 6 km stretch of limestone and chalk cliffs along the eastern coast of the Danish Island of Møn in the Baltic Sea. The highest cliff is Dronningestolen which is above 128m above sea level
Off we went to a 2D1N trip in Møns Klint! It was about a 2.5 hours car ride and we headed off for the adventure with loads of food, snacks and drinks for the day!
First stop was the Geocentre of Møns Klint where one can experience the birth of Møns. We are more interested in the hike and maybe taking a dip into the sea, so we just went for a walk. Denmark is such a flat country that i could hardly find anywhere to hike. So this was our first ever hike in Denmark!
The pictures will do the talking from here onwards!

Totally not looking forward to the stairs but well, how challenging could this be 🤔

When we arrived at the bottom of the beach, its filled with pebbles!

We took a dip for our feets before heading back up. It was just too slippery to walk on the pebbles 😂
i think we have acclimatise to the weather here in Denmark. It was only 25 degrees and we were like OMG this is hot! i cannot imagine when we are back in Singapore. We will probably melt in the unforgiving heat.
Headed off to our accomodation which is a castle to check-in and freshen up! The castle was located in a very quiet forest where it was also home to a peacock and 2 huge lakes with many many ducks. We sat down on the grassland and decided to have a picnic. Something that i would never imagine myself doing back in my home country. It was really therapeutic being so near to nature! there were times the ducks were so close to us, because they wanted food. But of course, we didnt feed them.
We had a nice dinner at the hotel and then went off to bed in the little castle!

Cute little castle and their ambassador It was such an experience being able to live in a castle! the rooms were better than i have expected, just that it was so warm without AC and we were so afraid of leaving the windows wide open to let the mosquitoes in to feed on us.
Day two was exploring an ice cream place and also to a bird nature reserve island which has only 42 inhibitants living on that island. We found yummy food and chat with the locals instead of bird viewing since we were too unequipped: We only arrived at Nyord in the afternoon and we had no binoculars. We were not bird lovers too! HAHAHAHS.

Cathedral in Nyord
Favorite new Danish food! It was a good trip! We had so much fun with our friend and also exploring Denmark together. So grateful for the memories that we build together. Till next time!

My first swim in denmark
Made my mind to check off bucketlist while i am here! Shall not wait till i am gonna end my stay here before i start trying everything! SUMMER is here for a little while only!
Met a singaporean friend here to go for a swim at beach near our place! So happy to have made friends here! Despite only finding someone after a year here and that she will be heading back to SG in dec.
Went to Bellavue beach. Its pretty close to our place! Only 10mins by bus! 😂

Picnic before the swim since it was cloudy Praying and hope the sun comes out as per weather forecast and it did! Went into the waters which is at 19 degrees for a swim. I swear i have never been in such cold waters before but the feeling is pretty refreshing! Now i get well the people here swim so much in Summer and even in winters!

Helloooo SUN!
