VACAY MODE ON

Day 2 in Denmark, we went to Norreport Station where there is a Danske Bank to open our bank accounts. This is definitely a necessity as we need to pay bills receive salary etc. But unfortunately, they say that account openings are done online now. So we are asked to head home. What a great start, our first rejection already. Oh wells then lets go for some food first before planning what to do for the week before dam’s work starts!

Brunch time at 20 Grams
Grandma’s platter and waffles!
Not forgetting a wefie from US 😍

Since we are in Norreport, we decided to explore the area. Of course the rain was not very helpful that day. Heard from Dam’s colleagues that the weather was warm and sunny till the day we landed. On the bright side, at least we have water resistant jackets, that kept us safe and away from the unforgiving rain at times while we are exploring Copenhagen.

First stop was the Torvehallerne market… OMGGGG did I tell you how much I love markets/food halls? Was excited to try anything Danish that we could find, but brunch was so filling that we just sightsee and made a mental note of the things we must try while we are here for a year. Because we are not a tourist for a few days, but a year, we decide to take things slow to explore too 🙂

Love that the Danes are fans of coffee too! Means my grandma would have her doses here if she visits. 😍

Visited Nyhavn, the must go in Denmark. It was pretty but cause of the rain, we took a quick look, mandatory photo and video before we left looking for a shelter to hide from the cold and rain.

Nyhavn

Day ended early for us since we are still adjusting to jetlag with the 6 hours difference between Denmark and Singapore. Slowly but surely, we will be able to adjust, one step at a time.
